Julian Payton is a guard for the Oaklanders Men’s Basketball team at Lincoln University in Oakland, California. Julian is the son of basketball legend Gary Payton and plays under his tutelage at Lincoln. Before Lincoln, Julian went to Bishop Gorman in Las Vegas and then completed a post-graduate year at Hillcrest Prep in Phoenix. As a senior in high school, Julian was ranked a 2-Star player and scouts described him as a wiry point guard with very long arms, big feet, and a great feel for the game. He has terrific speed and quickness, and his transition game is impressive. He can pop in the floater or nail the 3-point shot, and possesses good vision on the break. Julian has proven to be a strong member of the LU team.
