Lauren Strathearn
Lauren Strathearn is in her junior season in the outfield for the University of Northern Colorado Bears softball team, and she hopes to build on her successful sophomore season, when she started in 28 games and played in 30 overall. She posted a .253 batting average with an OPS of .631, 22 hits, 15 runs and 8 RBI. She stole 11 bases that season on 14 attempts. Defensively Lauren had 28 putouts and an assist, building an .853 fielding percentage. As a freshman, Strathearn batted for .319 average and had 15 runs and 8 RBI, and on defense she had 38 putouts with a .927 fielding percentage. In high school she was a four-year varsity softball player, and was awarded All-State First Team by Colorado High School Athletic Association/MaxPreps.
